THE 3 PILLARS OF OUR WORK
Social Sustainability
Our Mission
Society Organizing Sustainability has recognized that we are socially NOT sustainable in terms of mental health to which increases homelessness. Our mission is suicide prevention as well as mental crisis prevention. We create programs, campaigns, connections to resources and agencies (government and nonprofit programs) to alleviate stressful situations reducing the chance of self-medicating through alcohol and/or drugs. Our programs educate, advocate, and support individuals, families and communities by offering services to reduce depression, bereavement, mental crises, and extreme stress and therefore, reduce suicides, addictions and homelessness.
Currently, the US is not socially sustainable as COVID-19 started in year 2020, it has increased the suicide rate to the highest it has ever been; placing the United States as one of the highest rate of suicide per capita in the world. 🆘 provide our services and collaborate our efforts with other agencies to reduce suicide by offering our services to everyone including undocumented residents because suicide affects everyone. 🆘 strictly practices equity and inclusion which includes: seniors, youth, children, parents, people with mental/physical disabilities/disorders and everyone in between that may have different religion, age, race, sex identifications/orientation. We hope to grows from local to national and one day internationally to rescue lives and promote a more sustainable world. 🌎
Society Organizing Sustainability has recognized that we are socially NOT sustainable in terms of mental health, increasing homelessness tremulously. Our mission is long-term suicide prevention as well as mental crisis prevention for families and individuals through programs, campaigns, and connections to resources and agencies (government and nonprofit programs) to alleviate stressful situations, thereby reducing the chance of self-medicating through alcohol and/or drugs. We are the voice for the people who feel injustice.
Due to global crises throughout 2020 (including COVID-19), it has become clear that the US is not socially sustainable. We provide our services and collaborate with other agencies to reduce long-term suicide and short-term mental crises by offering our services to everyone, including undocumented residents. We strictly practice equity and inclusion, including seniors, youth, children, parents, people with mental/physical disabilities/disorders, and everyone in between that may have a different religion, age, race, sex identification/orientation. We hope to be present from local to national and one day internationally to rescue lives and promote a more sustainable world.
If you are feeling suicidal or are planning to attempt suicide, please call 988 (Suicide Prevention Hotline) as SOS is not responsible
